Editorial Policy

Trust is the whole point of a travel guide. Here's how Travel Swiss works so you know what you're reading.

How we research

Guides are based on first-hand experience wherever possible — places visited, trains ridden, tickets bought. Where we rely on official sources (SBB timetables, operator pricing, tourism boards), we link to them and note the date we checked.

Accuracy and updates

  • Every guide shows a published and, where relevant, a "last updated" date.
  • Prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) with the month we verified them.
  • We review guides on a rolling seasonal schedule and whenever readers flag a change.
  • Found an error? Tell us and we'll fix it.

Affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy a pass, tour or hotel through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This funds the site's running costs and keeps it independent. It does not influence our recommendations — we only link to options we'd genuinely choose, and all affiliate links use rel="sponsored". Monetised pages carry a visible disclosure.

Sponsored content

We occasionally partner with tourism boards, operators and brands. Any sponsored or gifted content is clearly labelled as such, and sponsors never get to approve our verdict. We don't sell do-follow links or publish undisclosed paid posts.

AI and authorship

Guides are written and edited by named humans with real Switzerland experience. We may use tools to help with research or drafting, but every published guide is fact-checked and shaped by a person who stands behind it.

Independence

Travel Swiss is not affiliated with Switzerland Tourism, SBB, or any transport operator or resort. Opinions are our own.
